Addie L. Cripe, 96, of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.

She was born March 6, 1915 in the town of Estella to Addie (Truman) and Joshua Newbury. She was raised in the town of Estella.

Addie married Everett Cripe on March 11, 1931 in Stanley. They had resided in the town of Wheaton since that time where she and her husband farmed and owned Cripe's Dairy for 15 years. Everett preceded her in death on August 11, 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn (Tom) Nelson; a son, Richard (Donnell) Cripe, all of Chippewa Falls; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Mildred Walters and Amy Beighley; six brothers, Walter, Leslie, Frank, Everett, Wilbur and Wesley Newbury.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Jim Woldhuis of Chippewa Valley Bible Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.

Afterservice

A funeral service for Addie L. Cripe, 96, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 30 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Pastor Jim Woldhuis of Chippewa Valley Bible Church officiated and music was provided by Addie's daughter, organist, Evelyn Nelson and vocalist Carl Cronquest.

Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie. Casket bearers were: William Chinn, Randy Nelson, Richard Martius, John, Ben and Alex Zirngibl.

Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls is serving the Cripe family.
