Andrew W. Horvatin, 54, of N12176 890th St., Colfax, town of Sand Creek, died suddenly Sunday, May 23, 2010 at his home.

Andy was born September 27, 1955 in Chippewa Falls the son of Jennie (Plonka) and Raymond Horvatin. He was raised in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1973. He was employed by Steve William's Farms in Tilden, where he cherished the many years he spent with them. He was a truck driver for Dart Transport and A & D Trucking.

In 1981 he married Kelly McFarland in Texas and together they had five children. They returned to Chippewa Falls in 1997 where he has been employed at AA Hanson Electric of Osceola.


Andy married Denise Daigle February 13, 2004 in Menomonie and they have one daughter.

He loved his family, children, gardening, the outdoors, his God and country. He was a hardworking man who would do anything for his family and friends. He was a "jack of all trades" and will be deeply missed by all those he touched.

Survivors include: his wife, Denise; six children, Priscilla McFarland of Texas, Jared (Heather) Horvatin of Texas, Tristan Horvatin of Colfax, Michael Horvatin of Menomonie, Hannah Horvatin of Colfax and Megan Horvatin of Colfax; four sisters, Judith (Gary) Gaier of Tony, Lorraine (Richard) Gardow of Chippewa Falls, Kathleen (Jon) Hansman of Ashland, Susan (Bernard) Staves of Wheeler; one brother, Raymond Richard (Mary) Horvatin; four grandchildren, Mikayla, Isaiah and Devin Stoker and Kaylee Horvatin and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls with Rev. Dr. Gary Paul officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
