Ann Marie (Rubenzer) Purdeu, age 79, of Chippewa Falls, WI, passed away on August 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on July 26, 1947, in Eagle Point, WI to Angeline and Henry Rubenzer Sr. She grew up in Drywood, WI and graduated from Cadott High School.

She married Thomas Nunke in 1965, and together they had two daughters. They divorced and she went on to marry Ervin Purdeu. They were together for 40 years until Erv’s passing. She was a devoted mother to Lannette (Rick) Vaudreuil and Glenda (Scott) Lyons and cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She proudly worked as an administration assistant for 44 years at AMPI of Jim Falls, WI.

She enjoyed her Amtrak trips, cruises, singing and casino trips. She especially loved their summer place on Lake Cornell. Those who knew her will remember her for her kindness, sense of humor, generosity, love for her family and the care she took to always look her best, no matter the occasion.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Scott) Lyons; sister, Mary (Ike) Bowe; brother, Patrick (Karla) Rubenzer; son-in-law, Rick Vaudreuil; grandchildren, Savannah York, Matthew (Emily) Lyons, Samantha Lyons, Mitchell (Camryn) Lyons; great-grandchildren; Jay York & Arianna York; along with step-grandchildren, Branden Vaudreuil, Dustin Vaudreuil; brother-in-law, William Woodcock; and sister-in-law, Marlene Rubenzer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Purdeu; daughter, Lannette Vaudreuil; parents, Angeline & Henry Rubenzer Sr.; siblings, Henrietta LaSage, Ralph Rubenzer, Marvin Rubenzer, Bernadine Hanley, Thomas Rubenzer, Catherine Woodcock, Henry Rubenzer Jr., Ray Rubenzer, Valentine Rubenzer, and Daniel Rubenzer.

The family would like to thank Mayo Cancer Center & St Croix Hospice for the care provided.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 20 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls with Fr. Daniel Sedlacek officiating. Visitation will begin at the church at 10 a.m.

Interment will be at Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
