Armand "Armie" P. Vaudreuil

Armand Pierre Vaudreuil, 87, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Saturday, August 31st, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

Armie was born July 13, 1937, to Roland and Odetta (Toutant) Vaudreuil, spending much of his life in Chippewa Falls. He graduated from McDonell High School in 1956. He met his lifelong sweetheart, Judith Brick, in 7th grade, pursuing her through high school and while he attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and married Judy on August 6, 1960, at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.

Armie worked as an engineer in Rockford, Illinois, before moving back to the hometown he loved in 1976, where he joined his brother, Dale, in running Vaudreuil Oil Company. Later in life he transitioned to real estate sales, a natural fit for someone who could generally tell you who had lived in any house around Little Lake Wissota. Retirement brought winters spent among friends in Gulf Shores, Alabama, fishing, golfing with his buddies, and doing cross stitch, at which he was a master. His magnificent pieces brought home numerous top ribbons from the Northern Wisconsin State Fair. They were works of art.

There were no strangers in Armie’s life. He could talk to anyone and usually did. If you met him, you were his friend, no matter who you were. Armie would happily chat with you for hours, even if he didn’t know your name. He was a born storyteller who wanted nothing more than to spend time with friends and family, regaling them with tales of childhood pranks he’d pulled.

Armie is survived by his son, Craig (Susan) Vaudreuil; daughter, Amy Vaudreuil; grandchildren, Keelin Vaudreuil, Denae (Chad) Schneider and Krysta Martin (Collin Jorgensen); brother and sister-in-law, Dale Vaudreuil and Ruth Lovejoy; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Vaudreuil; his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Lenore and Dr. Robert Wescott, as well as Mary Lu and Dennis Amundson.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia St., Chippewa Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Notre Dame Catholic church, 117 Allen Street, Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church.
