Beatrice "Bea" Mae Roycraft

Beatrice M. “Bea” Roycraft, age 96, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, October 2, 2026, at Our House Senior Living while under the care of Lily Hospice.

She was born June 30, 1930, in Chippewa Falls to Bertha (Hakes) and Joseph Konerik. She grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chi-Hi, class of 1948.

On June 25, 1949, she married Robert Roycraft. They resided in Chippewa Falls, where she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital, then worked as the Chippewa County Register of Deeds until her retirement. After retirement she was a mentor for the Chippewa Falls School District.

Bea enjoyed walking her dog, Lexi. She enjoyed reading and coloring, and she made the best cookies, pumpkin pie, and monkey bread.

She is survived by her children, Barb (Don) Dukerschein, Judy Cuhel, Joan (Mark) Lawrence all of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Cheryl (Dan) Bresina, William (Kelly) Dukerschein, Sondra (Cevan) Cook, Amanda (Ken) Pauley, John (Dawn) Cuhel, Jim (Angela) Cuhel; great-grandchildren, Courtney (Sawyer) Stearns, Chloe (Wes) Klingbeil, Whitney and Aleah Dukerschein, Olin, Daphne, Olivia and Jasper Cuhel, Lillee and Levi Maurer, Abigail, Elijah, Joseph and Hannah Morris; great-great grandchildren, Charlie and Claire Stearns; sister-in-law Carol Konerik; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brother, John Konerik; son, Tom Roycraft; sons-in-law, Ed Kocher and Joe Cuhel; and grandson-in-law, Kevin Maurer.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia St., Chippewa Falls with Pastor Pauline Bangle officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Countryside Union Cemetery in the town of Goetz, Chippewa County.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial gifts be considered to Irvine Park or The Chippewa Humane Society.
