Betty Petrich

Betty E. Petrich, 79, of the town of Eagle Point, Chippewa Falls died Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family and under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.

Betty was born September 26, 1938 in Chippewa Falls to Ernest and Marion (Ravy) Roder. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1956. After high school Betty began working at Wiley Law as a legal secretary. She remained at Wiley Law for over 42 years, until her retirement in 1998.

On June 20, 1964 she married Ronald A. Petrich at Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. They were both lifelong residents of Chippewa Falls.

Betty had many hobbies including gardening, knitting, fishing and camping, baking, and competing in bowling tournaments with Ron. During the summer she loved to host outdoor BBQ’s and spend time with her family and friends. She was always taking care of other people, she made many afghans over the years for her family and friends and last winter baked over 2,500 Christmas cookies to give away.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron in 2012; and brothers, Roger Roder and Richard (Pat) Roder.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Sherry) Petrich of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Brandon, Trenton, and Katerina Petrich all of Chippewa Falls; sister, Ethel Vance of Chippewa Falls; and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., Saturday April 28 at Pederson Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls at a later date.
