Cary R. Kuester

Cary R. Kuester, 59, of Chippewa Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 17, 2025.

He was born April 26, 1966, in Menomonie, WI to Edward and Sylvia (Mertes) Kuester.

He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1984 and attended DeVry Institute.

Cary was an extraordinary entrepreneur with a big heart who loved helping others. He enjoyed hunting and camping, his kitties, and of course watching the Packers. He was generous with his time and talents, knew how to have a good time and make others feel welcome, especially when he was cooking or grilling. Strangers quickly became friends and he treated everyone like family, many referred to him as “dad”.

Cary is survived by his parents, Edward and Sylvia Kuester; children, Nick (Tessa) Kuester of Eau Claire, Molly (Russ) Zylstra of Eau Claire, Kadi (Josh) Saunders of Spooner, and Tommy Lee of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Aden and Cora Saunders; sister, Renee (Ken) Sebranek of Chippewa Falls; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and best friend, Kyle Laramy.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, October 24 at Landmark Christian Church, 4140 126th Street, Chippewa Falls. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Brad Crocker officiating.

In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice and take people in as Cary did.
