Clyde Heidtke

Clyde F. Heidtke, 88, 16876 58th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Monday, January 4, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born April 30, 1921 in the town of Eagle Point to Ethel (Windsor) and Fred Heidtke. He was raised in the town of Eagle Point and attended Eagle Point School. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1938. He moved to Eau Claire where he worked at the Eau Claire Leader Telegram. In 1940, he moved to the family farm in Eagle Point.

Clyde entered the U.S. Army Air Force in November 1941. He served in Ireland, England and France and was honorably discharged in December 1945.
