Dennis M. Makeeff, 68 of Eau Claire went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born August 5th, 1948 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Dorothy (Lentz) and John Makeeff. He grew up in Mercer, North Dakota then moved to Wisconsin.

On September 18, 1971, Dennis married Marcia Dilk in Kamloops, British Columbia. They resided in the Eau Claire area where Dennis worked most of his life as a truck driver. He retired from Dunham Express in 2010.

Dennis enjoyed spending time with family, yard maintenance, bowling, riding his motorcycle, sharing the Lord with others, singing and writing gospel music and always willing to help others.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law Charles Smidt, a sister Darlene McGregor, and a brother Dalen Makeeff.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Marcia, daughters Brenda (Jeremy) Herbert, Sherri Smidt and grand-daughter Cara Smidt; his sister Berneice (James) Gale, brothers Gene (Jeanie) Makeeff, Larry (Suzanne) Makeeff, twin brother Dwight (Robyn) Makeeff, sister-in-law Eleanor Makeeff, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be gathering at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls, for visitation from 5-8 PM Friday, May 5th and Saturday May 6th from 12-1 PM. A funeral service will follow Saturday's visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Gale officiating and Rev. Andrew Picklyk delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
