Donald M. Oliver, 91, of Jim Falls, WI, passed away peacefully October 20th, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born February 20th, 1935, in Milwaukee WI. Don was born to Don and Odelia (Heiting) Oliver. After high school, Don began a career as a telephone technician with Wisconsin Bell.
He married his high school sweetheart, Ann (Mayer), in 1955 and began a family in Milwaukee. After 20 years of service with the telephone company, Don transferred to Eau Claire. He moved his family to Jim Falls to enjoy the outdoors. With their children’s help, Don and Ann built their home on the Chippewa River, where he spent 50 years enjoying family gatherings filled with swimming, skiing, fishing, hunting, golfing, and card games. Don also enjoyed serving his community through the Jim Falls Lions Club.
After forty-two years of marriage, Don’s wife Ann went to be with the Lord in 1997. He married Diane (Olmstead) in 1998. Don and Diane enjoyed watching their families grow; they often took time to visit them. They enjoyed dancing, traveling, and wintering in Florida.
In 2024, his wife Diane needed additional care and was moved closer to her children. He faithfully enjoyed going to spend time with her on a weekly basis. He took up additional reading and watching tv sports, cheering on the Packers and Brewers.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Gwen (Bryce) and Kathryn (Forsgren); two beloved wives, Ann and Diane; daughter-in-law, Caprice; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
