Dorothy Lundgren

Dorothy A. Lundgren, 91, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, February 17, 2018, at the Chippewa Manor.

She was born September 10, 1926, in Chippewa Falls to William and Gladys (Louis) Greenwood. She was raised in Chippewa Falls and attended Chippewa Falls High School. She moved to Osseo, Minn. where she was employed at Shopper’s City and Country Club Markets for 30 years.

In 1987, Dorothy returned to Chippewa Falls. She became active in the Senior Center where she enjoyed socializing and playing cards. She also enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, painting and crafts, travelling, going to the casino, and she loved all animals.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Larry Lundgren of Chippewa Falls, Peggy Jean (Dana) Amundson of Montreal, Wis., Karen Larson of Otsego, Minn., and John (Eileen) Lundgren of Maple Grove, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Sophia. She is further survived by her special companion, Bill Zimbehl of Chippewa Falls; brother, William Greenwood of Cadott; other relatives and friends; and her beloved cat, Minnie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marcella Carr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 22 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Terri Koca officiating. Interment will be at Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie at a later date.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Trinity United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Chippewa Manor for their excellent care, as well as the many nurses and doctors who cared for Dorothy.
