Dr. Walter R. "Wally" Diekfuss, DC, of Boyd, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Wissota Health in Chippewa Falls.

He was born August 24, 1927 in Indianapolis, Ind. to Helen (Mallon) and Dr. Walter C. Diekfuss, DC.

Wally entered the U.S. Army and served honorably during WWII.

He married Jayne Peterson on February 17, 1990.

He worked most of his life as a self-employed Chiropractor, taking over his father's business in Waukesha. In addition to that, he also had many other occupations that he enjoyed such as working as groundskeeper for the Potawatomi Girl Scout Camp in East Troy for many years, building solar homes and driving truck. He retired in 1990. He and his wife, Jayne moved from Arkansas to Boyd in 1999, where they have resided since that time.
