Edward L. "Ed" Verbracken, 62, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 after complications due to diabetes.

He was born February 24, 1955 in Chippewa Falls to Patricia (McAleer) and Lee Verbracken. He graduated from McDonell High School in 1973.

Following high school, Ed worked at Mason Shoe, then he bought a milk business, Wisconsin Farm Fresh Foods, and delivered milk. He started trucking for Menard's, then Reinhart Foods where he had been currently working for over 25 years.

Ed enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, watching HGTV with his dog, Jack, hanging out with his friends at Charlie's, and breakfast with the guys every Saturday.

He is survived by his son, Jason (June) Verbracken of San Diego, CA; daughter, Maegan Verbracken of Chippewa Falls; stepchildren, Rachel (Jason) Loy of Long Island, NY, Neil (Heather) Wold of New Britain, CT, Nathan (Megan) Wold of Minneapolis, MN, Nicholas (Stephanie) Wold of Philadelphia, PA, Matthew (Patricia) Wold, and Mackenzie Wold, all of Chippewa Falls; a brother, Louis Verbracken of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Conner and Cassidy Mullennix, Naomi, Caleb, Andrew and Elena Wold, Natalie, Emily and Ethan Loy; and his dog, Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering of family and friends to celebrate Ed's life will be held from 2-8 p.m., Friday, August 11 at the Eagle's Club in Lake Hallie. Please bring your favorite "Ed story" to share.

Interment will take place at a later date in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
