Elizabeth L. Price

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Price, 89, of Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Lake Hallie Memory Care while under the care of Lily Hospice.

She was born March 6, 1935, in Chippewa Falls to Elizabeth (Goettl) and Earl W. Rank Sr. She graduated from McDonell Central Catholic High School in 1953. For over 30 years she worked as a secretary at the Northern Center, retiring in 1998.

She married Kenneth Price on July 25, 1970 and they enjoyed 26 years of marriage. 

Betty loved staying active by cross country skiing, snowshoeing, taking yoga classes at the Y, and was proud of biking over 1500 miles in the summers. She also enjoyed cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, gardening, feeding and watching the birds, walleye fishing in Canada, and muskie fishing at the cabin. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a wonderful mom/grandma and loved each and every one of us dearly. 

Betty is survived by her daughter, Jayne (Dave) Meier of Crivitz; sons, Greg Keegan of Eau Claire and Shawn (Vicki) Keegan of DeForest; grandchildren, Ryan (Maria) Keegan, Brady Keegan (Samantha Hamler), Kelsey Keegan (Sarah Archer), and Grace Keegan; great-grandchildren, Henry, Ozzie, Evie and Millie. She is also survived by her brother, Richard (Patricia) Rank; sister-in-law, Marguerite “Skip” Rank; Rank family nieces and nephew; special friends, Jackie, Barb, and Gracie; and grand-dog, Oakley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; and brothers, Earl Jr. and Doug Rank.

A private celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date.
