Ernest F. “Ernie” Blatter, 82, of the village of Lake Hallie, passed away January 15, 2019.
He was born December 25, 1936 in Barron, WI to Abraham and Hedwig (Studer) Blatter. He later moved to the Lake Hallie area and owned and operated Midway Frame for many years. He also loved his beekeeping project and honey business.
On March 15, 1973 he married Fran Baker.
In his free time, Ernie enjoyed hunting and fishing, and fixing cars.
Ernie is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Gene) Sampson of Stacy, MN; grandchildren, Christina (Cory) Cantlon, Chantell (Jen) Sampson, Eric Sampson; great-grandchild, Josephine Cantlon; stepchildren, Katy (Tory) Toraason of Eau Claire, Pat Jackson of Jim Falls, Terry “Tiger” (Heather) Krall of Lake Hallie, Tommy (Laurie) Krall of Florida, LaMoyne “Boo” Jackson of Eau Claire, and their families; brothers-in-law, John (Mary) Baker of Eau Claire and Tom Baker of Winter, WI; and sister-in-law, Lindy (Mark) Johnson of Altoona. He is further survived by the extended Baker family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fran; and brother, John Blatter.
Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m., Sunday January, 20 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.
