Guy Kolman

January 15, 1963 — February 23, 2018

The heavens gained an angel on Friday February 23,2018 when Guy Kolman passed on in a truck collision. I hope the angels are ready for him! Guy was a prankster, a fun loving, great person. He lit up the room with his big personality and made everyone feel they were a part of his family. You were guaranteed a smile and a laugh when around Guy, his heart was as big as his personality. Everybody had a friend in Guy and if Guy knew you, you were loved.

Guy passed away doing what he did best; driving semi. He lived and died driving truck. Very rarely did he miss a day of work, the only time he did was when he had major health events happen. He was a dedicated, loyal man who took his work and love for his family seriously. Guy was the poster boy of dropping everything to help family and friends and fiercely loving them all.

Guy was born on January 15, 1963 in Boscobel WI and grew up in Monona WI. Following high school, Guy served honorably in the U.S. Army. He moved back to Boscobel with his parents in the early 1980's. He married the love of his life Cheryl (nee Price) on September 24, 2013. He was a truck driver for over 30 years.

Guy is survived by his wife Cheryl Kolman; son Sam Kolman; brothers Reed Kolman (Guy's father figure), Frank (Karen) Kolman, Steve (Dawn) Kolman, and Donny Kolman; his sisters, Sophie (Donny) Ward, Alice (Bob) Bohn and Mary Quinlan; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Shelley) Price, Kenny Adkins, Gary Ward; sisters-in-law, Terry (Brian) Heichel, Patsy Kolman; special niece Jill Meadors; special nephew Cody Meadors; his mother-in-law Doris Fors; granddaughter Lilly Adams; grandson Dennis Growneveld; step daughter Miranda Adams; step son Jesse Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis and Roy Kolman; his brothers, George and Tom Kolman, his sisters, Clara Adkins and June Ward, sisters-in-law Judy and Intok Kolman; brother-in-law, Will Quinlan; and father-in-law Fred Fors.

Guy will be deeply missed by Cheryl and his family and friends. Guy would have wanted everyone to live their lives as if he were still here, please bring good memories and stories of Guy so we can send him off with a celebration of his life and of the beautiful soul that he is.

A memorial celebration with a time for sharing will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Following the service, all are invited to the Eagle’s Club (one of Guy’s favorite places), 2588 Hwy. 53, Chippewa Falls, for a meal and refreshments.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.

Please tell your loved ones that you love them and how important they are to you. Lives can drastically change in a matter of seconds; leave fun and loving memories for those that love you.

We will see you again soon, Guy. Have fun with the other angels that are waiting for you in heaven. Soar like an eagle my friend.
