September 13, 1928 — February 19, 2018

Harold G. Rosseter, 89, of Cornell, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home.

He was born September 13, 1928 in Chippewa Falls to Gertrude (Coleson) and Oscar Rosseter. He grew up on his parent’s farm in the town of Anson.

After the military, he moved back to Chippewa Falls where he met and married the love of his life, Delores Ann Schick on July 5, 1955. He had been working at O.K. Rubber Welders in Chippewa Falls, and then his path took him to Rockford, IL where his son, Tim and daughter, Rita were born. Harold then decided to open his own tire shop in Platteville. While living there, the family was blessed with three more children, Dan, Ben and Steve. The couple lived in Platteville running Harold’s Tire and raising their children.

In December 2010, the couple retired in Cornell, where Delores passed in 2013.

Harold enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and going to Northern Minnesota to visit his brother. He also had many family elk hunting trips out west.

He is survived by his children, Timothy (Vanessa), Rita Busch (Phil Houtakker), Benjamin, Daniel (Cherie) and Steve; grandchildren, Scott Busch (Tasha Blindert), Katrina (Nels) Steffen, Traci (Kevin) Pulvermacher, Sarah (Dean) Kroeplin, Edward Rosseter (Jodi Shilts), Nick (Courtney) Rosseter, Gail Rosseter, Kelly Rosseter (Benjamin Campbell), Katie Rosseter, and Kenny (Malene) Rosseter; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Delores; a brother, Theodore Rosseter; a sister, Rose Ann Brown; son-in-law, Steve Busch; and a grandson, Kevin Rosseter.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 24 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Terri Koca officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council will follow at Copp Cemetery, town of Anson, Chippewa County.
