JacquelynJean Gannon, 83, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully May 17th, 2017, in Palm Springs, California, with Deb and Daniel (two of her children) at her side.

Jacquie was born November 6, 1933, in Granton, WI, to Charlotte (Davis) and Daniel Garbisch.On June 18, 1959, she married the love of her life, George Thomas Gannon, in Granton, moved to Spencer, and then later to Chippewa Falls.

Jacquie cherished her role as George's wife and as the mother of four children whom she deeply loved.She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing alto in the choir and serving on the Women's Auxiliary.Being a huge sports fan she was often seen in the stands whenever George or her children were playing, coaching or officiating. As an avid Packer-backer she was fortunate to have attended several cold games at Lambeau field with George, and in her later years, she enjoyed watching the games from the warmth of her Palm Springs winter home.Jacquie enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, walking daily, and gardening; with Christensen's Florist located next to her home she was always excited to receive the many floral arrangements they delivered over the years, and she looked forward to her walks across the street to buy "the most beautiful flowers and plants" for her garden, patio, and assorted pots.Her children fondly remember her routine evening rides with George through Irvine Park, their walks around Gannon Field, and then the requisite stop for ice-cream on the return home.Jacquie was the office manager for her husband's "Gannon Driving School," and also served in avolunteer position at St. Joseph's Hospital for 20 years as the buyer/manager of the gift shop where she and other volunteers raised much-needed funds to help offset hospital costs for equipment and medical supplies.

Jacquie was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George.

Surviving her are herchildren, Ric Gannon (Diane Miller) of Chippewa Falls; Deb (Patricia Rotter) Gannon of San Juan Capistrano, CA; Daniel Gannon of Paramount, CA; Ryan (Krista) Gannon of La Crosse; grandchildren: Pepsi (Chris) Solin; Nathan (Sarah Morgan) Gannon, all of Chippewa Falls; Lynn (Dan) Wendt of Idaho Falls, ID; Emily (Doug) Leskee of Minnetonka, MN; and Lilli Gannon of La Crosse; great-grandchildren: Tripp and Finnley Solin, Baylee Jaquemart, Hazel and Miles Gannon, Alex and Will Wendt, and Ella, Vera, and Jude Leskee; brother Duane (Nancy) Garbisch of La Crosse; sister Kathleen Czarnetzki of Davenport, IA; brother/sister-in-law Lawrence/(Jana) Gannon of Eau Claire; sister-in-law Phyllis Gannon, Chippewa Falls, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 5that Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1300 Mansfield Street, Chippewa Falls.Visitation will be held Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
