Janet F. Rubenzer-Pike

August 25, 1940 — January 22, 2026

Chippewa Falls

Janet Rubenzer-Pike joined the Angles in heaven on January 22, 2026. Janet loved her family. Her heart and smile will be missed by all.

Janet was brought into this world on August 25, 1940, to her parents Joseph and Elmyra (Bowe) Rubenzer in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She lived in Eau Claire County until she married Herbert Anderl in 1956, together they raised four children in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Janet married Rodney Pike on December 9, 1989, together they shared much love and adventures until his passing.

In Chippewa Falls, Janet became the woman we all know and loved. She was a very kind, intelligent and passionate woman. From the moment you met Janet, you were greeted with a sincere smile, an extended hand, a listening ear along with words of wisdom and compassion. Janet was extremely proud of resuming her education and graduating with her high school diploma. She used these accomplishments to further herself. Janet was the first Woman in Chippewa County to be elected to the position of Chippewa County Clerk of Courts and held this office for many years. Upon her retirement Janet continued to serve her community. She became a volunteer board member of the partners of St. Joseph hospital and mentored children from the local school system. One of her greatest accomplishments was developing and implementing a “dementia friendly community awareness program” for Chippewa county. Janet was recognized with an award by the State of Wisconsin for spearheading dementia friendly awareness program.

Janet’s life was filled with the love of her family and cherished friends. She had a zest in life for travel and social activities. All that came in contact with her knew she was true spoken and strong-willed. She had a heart of gold and that is definitely missed by all.

Janet was preceded in death by her late husband, Rodney G. Pike; her daughter, Julie Anderl “Hefty”; grandson, Benny Brewton III; sisters, Nancy Redard and Cindy Miller; brother, Joseph “Junior” Rubenzer

She is survived by her three children, Joy (Anderl) Brewton “Benny”, Jill (Anderl) Nelson (Scott), Todd Anderl (Kate); her five loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathon, Lorell, Jozlyn and Joseph; seven precious great-grandchildren, Naomi, Lia, Killian, Jackson, Freya, Valkyrie and Oden. She is further survived by two stepdaughters, Jody Thompson and Lori Pike.

The family would like to thank all those who took care of Janet in her last years/days of her life. We would like to thank Elaine Ford, Dimensions Living of Eau Claire and St. Croix Hospice.
