Chippewa Falls

Janice C. Trant, 82, of Chippewa Falls passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born September 17, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI to Paul and Adella (Schuster) Umhoefer. Janice married Richard Robarge and together they had 2 children. Janice also had 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Janice worked as a receptionist for a physician in Milwaukee and later worked as a developer for a photographer. Her passion for reading everything, led her to become the head of Project Literacy US in Oneida County, WI and she was very dedicated to teaching adults how to read. She also volunteered at the hospital library in Minocqua, WI.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Robarge and second husband, Thomas Trant.

Janice is survived by her sons, Andrew (Patti) Robarge and Joseph (Shirley) Robarge; sister, Rosemary (Fred) Jesko; grandchildren, Megan (Nick) Reichel, Hannah (Travis) Houle, Jacob Robarge, Rachel (Joseph) Reszcynski and Paul Robarge; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Liam; and nieces.

Janice will be missed, but is reunited with the love of her life, Richard.  We are sure they are already in a boat together – Dad fishing, Mom reading to him.

A private family burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.
