Jerrie Yehling, 74, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Our House Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls.
She was born October 9, 1951, in Chicago, IL to Clarence and Eleanor (Jolliffe) Yehling. She grew up in Monee, IL where she also attended school.
In 1972, Jerrie married James Smith and together had three children but later divorced.
Jerrie was a talented artist and entered her paintings, drawings and other crafts in many art shows over the years. Her family is left with many cherished pieces of her beautiful work. She also had a green thumb and had lovely flower and vegetable gardens. Jerrie loved all animals but had a special place in her hearts for dogs, especially her own Japanese Chins, George and Monkie.
She will be dearly missed by her three children, Barbara Smith of Menlo Park, CA, Carolyn (Chad) Pehlke of Phillips, James (Jessica Mork) Smith of Wheeler; close friend, Rick Gregerson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Joan, Carl, Carol and Roy.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The interment will follow at Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Thursday at the funeral chapel.
