Kenneth L. Bergman, 61, of Cameron, formerly of Gordon, died peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.

He was born April 2, 1955 in Rice Lake to Joyce (Hefter) and Ervin Bergman. He grew up in Gordon and Minong, and graduated from Minong High School in 1973.

Following high school, Ken moved to the state of Washington where he worked as a lumberjack for many years.

In 1985, Ken married Sandra Throneburg-Norris in Port Angeles, Washington. They moved back to the Gordon area shortly after they married, in 1986. They later divorced, but remained friends.

Ken worked for Myers Ford in Hayward as a mechanic for many years. He also worked for Russell Farms out of Barron, where he maintained their farm equipment. Ken was always willing to help friends with their vehicles which turned into a successful business he ran out of his home shop for many years. Although Ken loved fixing vehicles, his passion was riding the open road on his Harley-Davidson Road King.

Ken is survived by his four children, Darelynn Dodson, Allen (Elizabeth) Norris, and Jamie LaBrec, all of Chippewa Falls, Nicholas Bergman of Cameron; siblings, Bernie (Mary Lou) Bergman of Gordon, Nancy Stannard of Solon, Dani Bergman of Ireland, and Patsy (Joe) Betsinger of Holmen; grandchildren, Austin, Blake, Heather and Kaylee Dodson, Aiden, Tegan, Ryder, and Everly Norris, Sean (Heather) Erickson, Matthew, Marshol and Mitchell LaBrec; and one great-grandchild, Mason Erickson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife and friend, Sandra Bergman in 2013.

A memorial gathering in Ken's honor will be held from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, October 9 at the Lions Club Pavilion in the town of Lafayette (5765 197th St., Chippewa Falls, next to the Lafayette Town Hall).
