Kenneth E. Ginzl

April 27, 1940 — April 28, 2026

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice (2019); his sister, Elaine Fenske; his brother, Ed Ginzl; his sister-in-law, Alice Anderson; his brother-in-law, Lester Solberg; and his son-in-law, Greg Pias.

Ken worked many over-the-road trucking jobs throughout his life and later retired after more than 20 years as a truck driver training instructor at Chippewa Valley Technical College.

Ken was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener, and lefse maker. He especially took pride in tending to his hosta gardens, carefully nurturing them and sharing their beauty with others. He enjoyed playing games with family and friends; always ready for a little friendly competition and plenty of laughter. Affectionately known as the “Cookie Dude,” Ken baked thousands of cookies over the years, generously sharing them with cancer centers, doctors’ offices, and countless friends.

Ken will be remembered for his bright smile, contagious laugh, and endless supply of jokes. He had a way of making people feel welcome and at ease, often lightening the moment with humor and kindness. His warmth, generosity, and playful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Ken’s family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care he received from the staff at Charleston House Assisted Living/Memory Care in Beaver Dam, as well as Generations Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Feed My People or Central Lutheran Church.
