Kevin Dolan

Kevin Patrick Dolan, 64, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Red Cedar in Menomonie.

Kevin was born to Leonard and Katherine (Larson) Dolan on August 22, 1958, in Chippewa Falls.

He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School with the class of 1977.  He later attended Chippewa Valley Technical College earning multiple degrees specializing in HVAC and various technology. He worked for Cray Research during the early computer age and designed and maintained their clean room. He also worked for Northern Lights Semiconductor and TTM.

Karate was a passion of Kevin’s, earning himself multiple ranks of black belt, as well as teaching classes at the YMCA. He enjoyed the outdoors and many outdoor activities like running, biking, kayaking, gardening, and disc golf. He also taught Sunday School at Zion United Methodist Church, was a chess enthusiast, and had an artistic side – helping design and paint the displays for Irvine Park Christmas Village.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Kaye Dolan, of Chippewa Falls; daughter, Amanda (Scott) Marquardt of Altoona; son, Ryan Dolan of Menomonie, and their mother, Shawn Dolan of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Elodie, Cooper, and Novalea Marquardt; siblings, Len (Clarice) Dolan of Chippewa Falls, Kathy (Ed) Mohr of Eau Claire, and Richard (Angie) Dolan of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Sr.; and brother, Mark Dolan.

Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday, October 14 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.  A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Don Drollinger officiating.

Private interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leinenkugel’s Disc Golf Course at Casper Park.
