Kim D. Smith, 65, of Chippewa Falls, passed away at home on Monday, June 17, 2024.

Kim was born October 23, 1958, in Eau Claire to Kenneth and Evelyn (Iverson) Smith. He graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1976. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. 

On April 16, 1983, he married Judy Bowe at St. Joseph’s Chapel, and they resided in Chippewa Falls. For more than 30 years he worked at Berry Global in Chippewa Falls. 

Hunting, fishing, watching WI sports and CNN were some of his favorite hobbies. Kim worked as a chef for many years, and was proud of his cooking and baking skills. He loved to share his meals and feed everyone. 

Kim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Judy; daughters, Tracy (Charlotte) Smith of Chippewa Falls and Lisa (Chad) Taylor of La Crosse; grandsons, Christopher and Hudson; brothers, Kent (Karen) Smith and Keenan Smith; sister, Karla (Steve) Jenson; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Ruby Smith; sisters, Marlene James and Karen Smith; and brother, Kermit Smith.

 A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Monday, June 24 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel. Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home at 6:45 p.m
