Marilyn Lee Roznak, born March 3, 1936 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of Samuel and Bernadine (Silliman) Scragg. She graduated from high school in 1954 and joined the U.S. Air Force. After basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, she was assigned Headquarters Military Air Transport Service (MATS) at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington D.C. Her next enlistment assignment was in Cleveland, Ohio with a recruiting detachment.

It was while living in Cleveland that she met her future husband, Donald William Roznak, of Hinsdale, Illinois. They were married April 29th, 1961 in Shaker Heights, Ohio. After living in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois, they moved to Elkhorn, Wisconsin in 1971. Не preceded her in death in 1987.

Marilyn worked for the Elkhorn Area School District, the Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce and other businesses in Walworth County over the years. During this time, she was a Cub Scout den mother, served on a county library planning committee and the Matheson Memorial Library board of Directors. Eventually, she connected with the Walworth County Humane Society (later called Lakeland Animal Welfare Society, and now Lakeland Animal Shelter) and served on the board of directors for several years. Upon retirement, she volunteered at Lakeland Animal Welfare Society and eventually became a part-time employee there.

She is survived by her sons, Geoffrey (Grace) Roznak of Chippewa Falls, WI, Andy Roznak of Whitewater, WI, and a granddaughter, Gina Roznak-Michels (Oliver), also of Chippewa

Falls. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Sharon Lowery (David), and three nephews, James

and Greg Anderson and Robert Lowery. Her brother, David, passed in January of 2013.

There will be no services. If you so choose, memorials may be made to Lakeland Animal Shelter, PO Box 1000, Elkhorn, WI 53121.
