Marjorie L. Johnson, 90, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, formerly of Crosby, Minnesota, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 19, 2017.

She was born April 7, 1926 in Crosby, the daughter of Lester and Blanche (Robinson) Hughes. She graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1944.

On July 14, 1946, Marjorie was united in marriage to Dilton W. Johnson in Crosby. Dilton was a career member of the U.S. Air Force which meant the couple relocated many times. In 1947, they were transferred to Tucson, AZ and in 1948, their son, Gary was born. In 1951, they relocated to St. Paul, MN and in 1952, their daughter, Gwenda was born. In 1956, the family moved to Beausejour, Manitoba, Canada and lived there until 1960. He was then transferred to Wadena, MN. His final assignment was in Grand Forks, ND where he retired. After Dilton's retirement, they settled in Wadena, MN, where Marjorie worked as a sales clerk at Sears. Dilton preceded her in death on March 21, 1969.

Survivors include her son, Gary D. (Sarah) Johnson of Rockwall, TX; daughter, Gwenda (Jim) Kelly of Chippewa Falls, WI; four grandchildren, Nancy Lynn Johnson, Marjorie Ann Johnson, both of Dallas, TX, Scott Dilton Kelly (Fiancee, Kati Nelson) of Eau Claire, WI, Lisa Lynnea (Jeremy) Gregerson of Granite Falls, MN; three great-grandchildren, Jada N., Colton J., and Tyler S. Kelly; and 39 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five siblings, Edwin Hughes, Orville Hughes, Lois Gullickson, Lucille Evans, and Sarah Callisto; and two nephews, Keith Gullickson and Wayne Hughes.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.
