Nadine Kramer

Nadine I. Kramer, 83, of 3041 Cty. Hwy. P, Chippewa Falls, town of Lake Hallie, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

She was born November 25, 1926 in Eau Claire to Edna (Markham) and Harley Lanphere. She grew up in the Eleva area and graduated from Eau Claire Sr. High School in 1944.

After high school, Nadine moved to Milwaukee where she worked as a waitress. She moved back to Eau Claire in 1946 and worked for Eau Claire Optical, Armour's and Shedd-Brown.

She married Joseph Kramer on August 27, 1949 at her parents home in Eau Claire.

She then went to Cosmetology School and later owned and operated Nadine's Beauty Salon in Altoona from 1961-1975. She was honorably named "Hairdresser of the Year" in 1974. She and her husband moved to Chippewa Falls in 1969.
