Paul C. Douglas, 74, of 2030 118th St., Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, passed away, Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 at HospiceCare, Fitchburg, Wis.

He was born Nov. 10, 1935 in Denver, Colo. to Beatrice (Breska) and Purlie Douglas. He moved with his family to the town of Hallie in Chippewa County in 1946, the county where his father was born.

Paul attended Gower Grade School in Hallie and Chippewa Falls High School. He was in the U.S. Army Korean Campaign for three years. He was employed by American Motors in the 50s and 60s and then managed a radiator and air conditioning shop in Rockford, Ill. in the 70's. He worked in the tread room at Uniroyal in Eau Claire for twelve years. After Uniroyal closed, he owned and operated Automotive Air, an auto repair shop in Hallie until he retired in 2005.

He is survived by one son, Paul D. (Sandy) Douglas of Surprise, Ariz.; three daughters, Angela Douglas of Baldwin, Lisa (Matt Pipes) Douglas, Cynthia Douglas; three grandsons, Mitchell Puryear, Daniel Pipes, James Douglas all of Madison; a great-granddaughter, Alayna Kae of Baldwin; a sister-in-law, Patricia Douglas of Eau Claire; nephews, Terry Douglas of Eau Claire and Michael Douglas of Oshkosh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry F. Douglas.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls with Rev. Fr. Robert Hoekstra of the Chippewa Manor officiating. Burial will be in Copp Cemetery, town of Anson, Chippewa County.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral chapel.

A funeral service for Paul C. Douglas, 74, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie was held at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls with Rev. Fr.
