Randal Sorensen

Randal S. Sorensen, 61, of Chippewa Falls, passed away comfortably on Friday, August 16, 2024, surrounded by family at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.

He was born February 22, 1963, in Eau Claire to his biological mother, Carol (McNair) and father, Robert Sorensen. He grew up in Chippewa Falls, Milwaukee, and among other cities in Wisconsin. He then served for 9 years in the U.S. Army Reserves, until his honorable discharge in 1992.

Randy married Deborah (Oehlert) on May 10, 1986, in Eau Claire. He was an insurance salesman for 15 years. He worked until the very end. He took pride in spending time with friends and family. In his free time, you could find him in the woods, on the lake, or doing shotgun bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah A. Sorensen; one daughter, Molly Sorensen of Chippewa Falls; one son, William Sorensen of Chippewa Falls; two grandchildren, Sofia Sorensen and Logan Sorensen; one brother, Jerry (Lori) Sorensen; two sisters, Kathy (Marty) Rutz and Penny Sorensen; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sorensen on June 19, 2010; his mom, Mary Sorensen on December 24, 2004; and biological mother, Carol (McNair) Sorensen on August 3, 2002.

A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, September 14 at Jim’s Shady Nook, 16061 296th St., Cornell, WI.

A private interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
