Richard Schwahn

VISITATION:

Richard "Dick" Schwahn, 72, of Punta Gorda Fla., formerly of Chippewa Falls, died at his home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

Dick was born to Louis and Mamie (Larsen) Schwahn in Chippewa Falls on February 7, 1944. He graduated from McDonell High School with the class of 1962, later attending the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.

Dick worked at Neenah Foundry, Presto, and Enterprise Tool and Die before opening his own shop in 1982. He owned Schwahn Tool and Plastic for over 30 years before retiring.

He enjoyed boating, cars, golfing and spending time with friends and family.

Dick is survived by his wife, Jennifer of Punta Gorda, Fla.; daughter, Laura (John) Schwahn of Eau Claire; sons, Matt (Susan), Tom (Heather) and Brian, all of Eau Claire; step-children, Stacy (Chris) Hall of Colfax, Michael (Michelle) Moss of Eau Claire, Chris Moss of Eau Claire, and Leah (Bryan) Shaw of Austin, Texas; sister, Gretchen (Gordy) Gruenke of Lopez, Wash.; many grandchildren; and numerous golf friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be from 2 - 5 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia Street, Chippewa Falls. A private interment will be held at Copp Cemetery, Town of Anson, Chippewa County, Wisconsin.
