Robert "Bob" A. Ripplinger

Robert A. "Bob" Ripplinger, age 93 of Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died peacefully with his family by his side at the Chippewa Manor, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

On June 30, 1932, Bob was born in Chippewa County, the son of Reganot (Greene) and Arthur Ripplinger. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1950. Bob served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1952-53 during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge from the military, Bob moved to Iowa where he worked at John Deere. On August 18, 1956, Bob married Marion Aude in Chippewa Falls. They resided in the town of Lafayette area where he worked for City Service/Phillips for over 30 years. He and Marion also bought her parents’ farm, which they farmed for over 20 years. Along with his sons, Bob ran several mobile home parks in the area. He and Marion enjoyed going to the casino, and annual trips to Las Vegas.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Marion, of Chippewa Falls; daughter, Cheryl (Dennis) Wettstein of Campbellsport, WI; sons, Michael (Susan), Steven Sr. (Sandra), and Douglas (Lisa) all of Chippewa Falls; son-in-law, Norm Semisch; grandchildren, Sheila (Ryan) Wettstein, Alex (Monica) Wettstein, Steven Jr. (Nicole) & Danielle Ripplinger, Kendra (Bennett) Ripplinger, Emily Ripplinger, Chere (Nathan) Bergeron, and Robin (Joe) Bergeron; and great-grandchildren, Henry, Emma, Maggie, Oliver and Luca; along with many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Ripplinger; sister-in-law, Jean Ripplinger; and his daughter, Pamela Semisch.

A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Graveside Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls with Military Honors conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Chippewa Manor and St. Croix Hospice for their loving care given to Bob.
