Robert Luther

Robert Leroy Luther, 87, of Chippewa Falls, passed away on March 20, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

Bob was born on January 2, 1924 to Pearl (Manor) and Henry Luther in Hennepin County, MN.

Bob graduated from Arkansaw High School, Arkansaw, WI in 1942. After graduation he worked for Red Wing Pottery until entering the Army Air Force in April of 1943. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was honorably discharged in May 1946. He returned to work at Red Wing Pottery for a short time then worked in the oil fields in Wyoming. He returned to Wisconsin and worked several different jobs in the Durand area before joining the WI State Patrol in 1958 as a motor vehicle inspector.
