Roland Shaurette

September 8, 1969 — October 4, 2017

Roland Edward Shaurette, 48, of Chippewa Falls, left this world to meet his savior the night of Wednesday, October 4, 2017.

He was born September 8, 1969 in Chippewa Falls to Nancy (Hendrickson) and Richard “Dick” Shaurette. He graduated from Chi-Hi in 1987.
On March 27, 1993, Roland married his soulmate, Ingrid Eslinger.

Roland’s wholehearted devotion to his family was only surpassed by his love for The Lord. Among his extensive volunteering, cooking, and attendance of bible study with his brothers in Christ at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, Roland’s favorite means of worship was singing in the church choir. Though he had troubles clapping to a beat, which his daughters continuously tried to help with while standing in the congregation, he made up for it by having a voice that led so many believers to the cross.

After high school, Roland entered the workforce as an electrician, an occupation he maintained for 27 years. As a natural leader, he worked his way up becoming a well-respected man in his profession. He was currently employed at H&R Electric in Chippewa Falls. During those years, the love of his life, his bride Ingrid, was always by his side. She never for one second doubted his adoration he had for her. Through this love they were blessed with three beautiful girls and three amazing grandchildren.

Roland cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. When he wasn’t working to provide for his girls, you could find him at the cabin with his brothers and father lost in buck fever, grilling out making the best meal you ever had, lighting fireworks in the driveway with his grandbabies, creating the largest bonfire Wissota Woods has ever seen, singing 80’s classic rock songs on the pontoon with his friends, or lending a helping hand to anyone that needed a strong, hardworking, perfectionist man to accomplish a big job.

Roland’s work ethic and driven personality caused countless individuals to be influenced by him. He enjoyed giving back to his high school as an active member on the Chi-Hi Booster Club and could be found running chains on the sidelines of Dorais Field any Friday night over the past 20 years. He taught his daughters what it means to work for what you want and to keep pushing through life even when it isn’t kind because, “That’s just the way it is kid.”

We will miss you more than words could ever articulate, Papa. You will always be with us. We love you.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Ingrid of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Nadine (Jamie) Sande of Chippewa Falls, Savannah (Lucas Gont) Shaurette of Eau Claire and Olivia Shaurette of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Drayven, Addison and Layla; his parents, Nancy and Richard “Dick” Shaurette of Chippewa Falls; his in-laws, Dave and Arlene Eslinger of Chippewa Falls; siblings, Michelle (Mike) Deetz, Scott (Michelle), all of Chippewa Falls, Janelle (Bryan) Prince of Eau Claire, Ryan (Lisa) of Chippewa Falls; a sister-in-law, Sherry (Mike) Arntz; brothers-in-law, Pete (Missy) Eslinger, all of Chippewa Falls, Adam (Heather) Eslinger of Lakeville, MN; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anne and Harvey Hendrickson; paternal grandparents, Adrian and Leona Shaurette, uncles, Terry and Don Shaurette; and aunts, Judy Ponick and Gloria Folczyk.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 9 at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Jim Woldhuis officiating.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday, all at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, 531 E. South Ave., Chippewa Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and will be used to establish a scholarship in Roland’s honor through the schools, or you may choose to designate to Chippewa Valley Bible Church Missions, which Roland also held dear to his heart.
