Ronald P. Krueger

Ronald “Skip” P. Krueger, 82, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, as a result of congestive heart failure, surrounded by family at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.

Ron was born on March 19, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Clarence “Clare” and Joyce (Rindsland) Krueger.

Ron’s commitment to education was built on his strong academic foundation; He graduated from Milwaukee Washington High School, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, where he met his future wife and was an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity. He then went on to complete a master's degree at the University of Wisconsin Stout, earning advanced specialist certifications. He dedicated 30+ years of his life to education, first as a School Psychologist, and then as the Director of Pupil Services for the Chippewa Falls Unified School District for the majority of the years, where he worked alongside his administrative assistant, and dear friend, Linda Misfeldt, passionately advocating for the wellbeing and development of students.

On August 12, 1967, he married the love of his life, Lynne Gillette, in Chippewa Falls and together they raised three daughters, living on Lake Wissota. Beyond his educational and professional achievements, Ron was a proud "girl dad" to his three daughters and an amazing grandpa ”pops” to his five grandsons. One of his favorite sayings was “It’s good to be the king!”, which prompted his daughters to gladly take the title of “princess(es)”.

Ron’s interests outside of work included his passion for photography, travel, music, hunting, and amateur radio, where he was a founding member of the Chippewa Valley Amateur Radio Club, engaging with fellow enthusiasts and sharing his knowledge with others. He was a member of the Eau Claire Masonic Temple for 52 years, raised to Master Mason in March of 1984 and receiving his Scottish Rite 32nd degree in May of 1984, and also a member of the Chippewa Falls Benevolent & Protective Order (B.P.O.) of Elk’s Lodge.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lynne, of 58 years; daughters, Jennifer Krueger (Mark Hanley) of Chippewa Falls, Joy Krueger of Chippewa Falls, and Katey Krueger Fornear (Ben Fornear) of Duluth, MN; grandchildren, Gage (Ellie) Birkel, Chase Weigold (Peyton Kringle), Jonah Krueger, Nikolai Fornear, and Leopold Fornear; great-granddaughter, Zuri Birkel; cousins, Lydia (Larry) Oppen and Matthew (Chelle) Brody; niece, Melissa (Steve) Squires; nephew, Tim Gillette; great-nieces, Hannah and Josie Squires; second cousin, Alex (Kayla) Oppen; and other relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt and uncle, Grace & Fred Brody; father and mother-in-law, Roy "Bud" and Jessica Gillette; and brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Cindy Gillette.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, December 12th at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with full Masonic Rites at 11:45 a.m. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of Central Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Chi Hi (Chippewa Falls Senior High School) Music Department.

We’d like to thank Mayo Clinic Health Care System physicians, Dr. Adetimehin (Hospital Medicine), Dr. Abraham (Palliative Care), RN Julie, and PCA Fiona for their caring efforts, kindness and patience during the last days, hours and minutes of his life.
