Ronald L. Ruf

Ronald L. Ruf, 64, of Chippewa Falls, died on Monday, December 22, 2025.

On May 14, 1961, Ronald was born to Willie and Helen (Kouba) Ruf in Chippewa Falls. He graduated from McDonell High School with the class of 1979. Ronald was united in marriage to Cindy Schemenauer on October 17, 1992 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.

Ronnie enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and playing cards, specifically SheepsHead, he was a loyal Cubs fan, but most of all he cherished his time spent with his “Little Sunshines” and practice grandchildren, as well as his extended family and friends.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Cindy; sons, Michael (Cassie) Ruf and Zachariah (Emily Zawacki) Ruf; his “little sunshine” grandchildren, Everett and Camden Ruf; siblings, Renee (Blane) David, Rick (Jennifer) Ruf, Russell (Sarah) Ruf, and Rachel (Todd) McKay; nieces and nephews, Ann (Peter Kopperud) David, Andrew (Erica) Ruf and their children, Nora, Will, Rylee, and Ainsley, Katie & Claire Ruf, Christian (Lisa) Ruf, Emily (Brandon) Ashton, John (Theresa) Ruf, Mary (Joe) Schwetz, Lucy (Walter) Foos, Theresa, Grace, Joseph, Abby, and Teddy Ruf, and Macy & Ella McKay; sisters-in-law, Suzie (Doug) Prince and Colleen Schemenauer; special aunt and uncle, Fran (Don) Girard; along with many other loving family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie & Helen Ruf; son, Benjamin; sister, Rhonda Ruf; father and mother-in-law, Cyril and Ann Schemenauer; brothers-in-law, Ronnie & Byron Schemenauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 117 Allen St., Chippewa Falls, with a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at church. The interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, town of Tilden, Chippewa County Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Peter Catholic Cemetery fund or to Notre Dame Children Trust Fund.
