Ryan J. “Bump” Hebert, 53, of Chippewa Falls, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 while under the care of his family, friends and St. Croix Hospice.
He was born May 8, 1972 to Sidney and Nancy (June) Hebert. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1990, where he competed at State in both hockey and all four years in track. He continued running track at UW-Stevens Point, earning All American honors, and completed his degree in Business and Logistics at UW-Stout.
On October 3, 2005, he married Angela Bowe in Negril, Jamaica. They enjoyed their life together on Lake Wissota raising their three beautiful children.
Ryan worked for Walmart Transportation for 25 years, where he made many dear friends. He retired as an Operations Manager in March, 2020.
Ryan was proud of his children and their accomplishments. He was their biggest cheerleader in every activity. Ryan also enjoyed the outdoors and proudly taught each of his kids how to hunt and fish. There are many favorite memories that come to mind with Ryan and his kids. Madelyn’s favorite memory is sitting around a fire with him and sharing stories. Sam’s favorite memory is the support his dad gave him throughout his high school sports. Andrew’s favorite memory is his dad coaching him hockey through the years. These memories will always be cherished.
Ryan truly lived life to the fullest. He loved life on the lake spending time with his family and friends fishing, boating, tubing, and having campfires. His family and friends will treasure many memorable vacations and the “boys” four wheeling trips. His and Angie’s destination beach wedding set the tone for many tropical vacations over the years. Whether Ryan was sitting poolside at a resort or watching one of his kids at a sporting event, he was making friends and making others laugh.
Bump’s family is especially thankful for the unwavering support they have received from the Chippewa community, in which they call home. They appreciate the outpouring of love, generosity of their time, and value their friendships.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Angela; children, Madelyn, Sam and Andrew; his mother, Nancy Hebert, all of Chippewa Falls; his sister, Lisa (Leo) Malone of Eagan, MN; father and mother-in-law, Mike and Donna Bowe of Tilden; brothers-in-law, Kurt Bowe of Mound, MN, Jan (Amy) Bowe of Colfax, Neil (Holly) Bowe of Chippewa Falls; sister-in-law, Kelle Bowe of Mound, MN; nieces and nephews, Riley and Sydney Malone, Jacob (Renee), Grace, Sydney, Trenton, Jayna, Jillian, Jaycey, Jordyn, Sawyer, Trevor and Carter Bowe; and numerous dear friends.
