Sandra L. Denning

Sandra L. Denning, 72, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

On February 25, 1952, Sandy was born to Raymond and Leona (Olson) Berg in Bloomer, WI. She graduated from Bloomer High School with the class of 1970. On May 10, 1971, Sandy was united in marriage to James Denning at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eagleton.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim; sons, Jamey (Sara) Denning and Jesse (Rachel) Denning, all of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Audrey (Noah) Kalthoff, Ella, Isabel, Ian and Luke Denning; along with other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Floyd Berg and Patricia Berg.

Sandy enjoyed baking for others and held the crown given by her grandchildren for the best french toast, chocolate cake, and the cut-out cookies she made each Christmas with the grandkids. She took her high score in Candy Crush seriously. Sandy had a great sense of humor and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.

The family would like to thank Mayo Hospice for their incredible care of Sandy during her final days.

The visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia St, Chippewa Falls. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, at Our Hope Lutheran Church, 240 Chapman Rd, Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Rev. Phillip Pitt will be officiating.
