Terry L. McVinnie

Terry L. McVinnie, 73, of Chippewa Falls, died at home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, surrounded by family while under the care of Heartland Hospice.

He was born August 13, 1952, in Chippewa Falls to Wilton and Diane (Larson) McVinnie. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School and worked for many years at Hubbard Scientific in Chippewa Falls.

Playing cribbage, watching the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers, fishing, and playing Wii golf with his brother, Jimmy, were his favorite hobbies. He was a loving, caring and generous guy who could make you smile with his witty jokes and sharing of stories. Music and dancing made him happy, even if it embarrassed his grandkids at times!

Terry is survived by his children, Sarah Johson (fiancé Wilson Davis) and Ryan McVinnie, both of Chippewa Falls; granddaughters, Makala Schabell, Briana Shilts, and Melanie McVinnie; great-granddaughter, Lennon Ferguson; siblings, James McVinnie (Chris Snyder), Robert (Wanda) McVinnie, Pamela McVinnie (Ryan Hurt), and Lynda McVinnie; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ricardeau McVinnie, Randall McVinnie, Patrick McVinnie, and infant siblings, Susan and Anthony McVinnie; granddaughter, Makenzie Schabell; and wife, Patricia McVinnie.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
