Thomas Hutson

Thomas R. Hutson, 82, Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the home of his daughter in the town of Eagle Point, while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

He was born April 20, 1927 in Madison to Daisy (Dean) and Thomas R. Hutson. He grew up in Madison where he graduated from Madison West High School in 1944. Tom enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1945 and was stationed at NTC, Great Lakes, Navy Pier in Chicago. He served until 1946. After the war, Tom attended UW-Madison. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dairy Science.

Tom married Betty Fry on September 26, 1953 in Necedah, Wis. They moved to Chippewa Falls in 1957. He worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture at Falls Dairy in Jim Falls. He retired in 1990.
