Travis J. Jensen, age 41, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 10, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones, under the care of St. Croix Hospice.
Travis was born on November 6, 1983, in Stanley, WI, to David & Laura (Leonard) Jensen. He graduated from Thorp High School with the class of 2002. He then attended UW-Stout, graduating with a degree in Business Management in 2008.
After graduating college and enjoying solo adventures, Travis met Stephanie in 2016 where they quickly fell inseparable. Not a day went by after first meeting that they didn’t speak. They went on to get engaged and married on February 24th of 2018. Travis and Stephanie went on a couple adventures of their own before bringing their two beautiful children into the world, Lennon and Laken. Travis loved the outdoors. He found great joy in anything that required being outside on a nice day, even on the "not so nice" days, too. He loved to mountain bike, hike, camp, but more than anything, fishing was his greatest joy. Weather it was 50 below or a hot sunny 90 degree day, you bet you could find him fishing. He even got his dad and brother to join in on the fishing fun and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Aside from his hobbies, Travis loved being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was always the "fun uncle" and would make sure to always say "just don't tell your auntie Steph" after sneaking sweet treats or doing something semi dangerous in the backyard. Travis also loved being a dad. He shared his love of the outdoors with his children, riding bikes, going for walks, playing games, and even teaching them how to fish. Travis had a heart for his family and his home. This is where he found his true joy, spending time with the ones he loved.
Travis was a caring and kindhearted husband, father, brother and son that will be missed by all who knew him.
Travis is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; children, Lennon and Laken; parents, David (Jess) Jensen and Laura Leonard; sister, Jenny (Nick) Gwiazda; brother, Jeremy (Sue) Jensen; father & mother-in-law, Bryan and Chris Kriehn; brother-in-law, Mike Kriehn; sisters-in-law, Heather (Spencer) Clutter, Jennifer Kriehn, and Melissa (Levi) Hunt; along with many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy & Margaret Leonard and Donald & Bernadine Jensen; and cousin, Ben Warner.
The Funeral Service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, 531 E South Ave, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729, with a visitation beginning at 10 am, at church. The interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family that will be donated to a charity supporting Chromophobe RCC research.
