Violet A. Nyhus

Violet A. Nyhus, 95, of Jim Falls, died Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Our House Senior Living in Eau Claire while under the care of Moments Hospice.

She was born February 2, 1931, in Chippewa Falls to Paul and Edna (Liddell) Reim. She married Eldred Nyhus on November 3, 1951. Violet worked for many years at Mason Shoe before they bought Eldie’s Bar in Jim Falls, which they proudly owned and operated for over 20 years.

Violet is survived by her children, Gary Nyhus of Jim Falls, Sandy (Dave) Heidtke of Eagleton, Tim (Cindy) Nyhus of Chippewa Falls, Cindy Heidtke of Chippewa Falls, Pam (Charlie) Parkhurst of Chippewa Falls, Art (Gina) Nyhus of Chippewa Falls and Debbie (Bill) Spearbecker of Barron; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen King; sisters-in-law, Wanda LeCleir and Rogene Cardinal; brother-in-law, Ron (Jan) Nyhus and many friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldie in 2021; siblings, Lauretta Chovan, Evelyn Walloch, Ethel Petska, Paul Reim Jr., and Rosemary Henneman.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 11 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Eagleton. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Hollmann officiating. Burial will be in the Eagleton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
