Wesley R. Roloff, 83, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Wes was born on January 2, 1933, to Walter and Viola (Knichelvein) Roloff in Chicago, IL.He married Rose Cynor on September 30, 1961, at St Francis of Assisi in Hickory Hills, IL.Wes served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in February of 1955. He liked traveling, and favored watching the Chicago Bears. After his retirement, they moved to Chippewa Falls, enjoying his trees and flowers away from the busy hustle and bustle of Chicago.
Wes is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rose; daughters, Diane (Mark Jacyno) Dunnet of Frankford IL and Debra (Andrew) Koson of Tinley Park IL; grandchildren, William (Angela) J. Dunnett III, Jacob Dunnett, Alexandria Dunnett, Danielle Koson and Bethany Koson; brothers, Charles (Nelda) and Jerry (Eleanor); sisters-in-law, Eleanor "Polly" and Rose; the Cynor family; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Fred and Leroy.
A visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia Street, Chippewa Falls, with a public prayer vigil beginning at 5:30. The funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will be officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council following the service. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls at a later date.
Wes fought a long bout of kidney failure. In lieu of flowers, Wes would appreciate a donation to the National Kidney Foundation of WI.
