Westin S. Woodward

Westin S. Woodward, 22, of Chippewa Falls, died Monday, August 3, 2026, in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

He was born July 4, 2004, in Eau Claire to Terry and Janine (Jansen) Woodward. Westin attended Chippewa Falls High School where he enjoyed participating in the marching band and competing in robotics. He had a quiet side and loved spending time outdoors, camping and hiking, or snuggling up on the couch with his cat, Elvis.

After graduating from Chi Hi in 2022, Westin left for basic training on his 18th birthday. He completed basic training in San Diego, CA, and further training in Pensacola, FL, before being stationed in New River (Jacksonville) North Carolina. He achieved Lance Corporal and trained with the Marine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron 302 and was currently working as a mechanic on helicopter carriers.

Westin is survived by his parents, Terry and Janine; twin brother, Garrett; sibling, Leah Cedar; grandparents, Ronald and Dorothy Woodward of Cumberland; aunts and uncles, Julie Jansen of Albany, WI, Jay Jansen of West Bend, WI, Tim (Amy) Confare of Delafield, WI, Vicki (John) Lindsay of Ashville, NC, Gary (Kelly) Woodward of Lawrence, KS, and Barb Holman of Danbury, WI; as well as many cousins, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Barbara Jansen; and uncles, Robert Holman and Rick Murray.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, August 27 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 28 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, with Rev. John Lindsay officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment with military rites will follow at 3 p.m. at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N4063 Veterans Way, Spooner WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Chippewa Falls High School Marching Band.
