Wilfred Nelson

Wilfred J. "Wild Bill Sr." Nelson, 89, died peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Bloomer, while under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

He was born on April 13, 1926 in Racine to Irene (Touruille) and Edward Nelson.

He served honorably in the US Army from June 1946 - December 1947.

Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Judy Nelson of Albertville; son, Wild Bill Nelson Jr. of Elk Mound; two grandsons, Chad (Amy) Nelson of Colfax, Travis Nelson of Phoenix, AZ; and two grandchildren, Aubrey and Coen Nelson of Colfax.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Brady Nelson.

A celebration of Wild Bill's life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Menomonie.
