William "Wijo" J. Sazama

William J. “Wijo” Sazama, age 72, of Windermere, FL, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, August 27, 2026.

He was born August 23, 1954, in Chippewa Falls to Dr. John J. and Mary J. (Cline) Sazama. He graduated from McDonell Central Catholic High School, class of 1972.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Windermere, FL; three children, Annalise (Cooper) Butler of St. Louis Park, MN, Janese Sazama of Eau Claire and Alex (Jenna) Sazama of Chippewa Falls; siblings, The Hon. Tom (Mary) Sazama of Chippewa Falls, Dr. Richard (Debbie) Sazama of Eau Claire, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Bert) Pulitzer of Riverside, CT, John (Alison) Sazama of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Emery Sazama, Charles Butler, Sloane Butler and James Sazama: special friends, Wayne (Lou Ann) Steinmetz of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jan in 2020; and sisters, Carol Sazama and Jane Birtwistle.

A private funeral mass will be held for family with burial at the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls.
