Dawn Paulson

Dawn M. Paulson, 47, of Chippewa County, died Monday, July 29, 2019 at Atrium Nursing Home in Chetek.

She was born November 25, 1971 to Georgeann (Wathke) and Robert Schimmel.  She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School.

Dawn raised her children in Chippewa Falls and once they were grown, she enjoyed spending time in her garden and bird watching.

She is survived by four children, Jesse (Alex) Bichner, and his father, Dawn’s former husband and special friend, Mike Bichner; Krystal, Robert and Nicholas Paulson and their father, and Dawn’s second husband, Larry Paulson; her parents, Georgeann and Robert Schimmel; siblings, Mark Schimmel, Cheri Schimmel and Bobby Weisinger; and grandchildren, Bailey Bichner and Garrison Willmarth.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Bichner.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 2 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. William Plautz officiating.  Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral chapel.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Atrium in Chetek for the exceptional, compassionate care given to Dawn during her stay there.
